Looking Back

June 24, 2015 by Principal

Roman Catholics often carry a small string of beads, with a Crucifix on the end. We call it a Rosary. Each bead represents a prayer. Once a year, at HNOJ, this small string of beads is transformed on our playground. It becomes a living representation of the prayers and    petitions we make to God. Students and teachers replace the wooden beads. Each participant recites a brief prayer, then presents a flower as an offering. You don’t have to be Catholic to participate.  We simply ask this very special woman, Mary, to pray along with us.
